Locking own threads?

How do you feel about members being able to lock their own threads?

They have that power here.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Would you allow members to lock their own threads on your forum?

it's really depends how you look at it tbh, as a owner and admin of Ghost Universe they can't lock us away since we got more power then they do,
(you could do the same in your own Forum OT)

but to answer your question if it a good thing or bad thing, i genuinely would say its really depends tbh.

I guess it depends on the kind of forum you have and whether you can trust your members to lock their threads for reasons and not to troll or cause trouble.

I wouldn't allow members to close their own threads but would consider it for established members who have been around for a while when they reach a certain rank as a perk.

I don’t allow members on my forum to lock their own threads, however, they can report the thread and I’ll lock the thread for them.
