Introduction
One of the unique features on our site is the fact you can see what generation a user was born under if they have their birth year enabled, This feature is not intended to label people it only there for entertainment purposes only, Many people don't understand that Researchers do study these labels, Slang does exist within these labels, Us humans want to relate to people around our age group so there's no wonder that there is some value to being born under a certain cohort,You should never label people for the wrong reasons we are all human beings but things such as the Spiritual Practice of Astrology and Generations do have their value if you're not using them to hate on another human being.
Generations History
While generations go far back as 1863 by french lexicographer Emile Littré the naming didn't start until the 1900s (20th century) The naming started to market to certain age groups and for history researchers to easily research certain things that happened in the past and how certain people did act, This is some truth to how certain age groups do act, for example, Gen Z's all love Juice Wrld he is evidently popular among that age group,Not the mention that certain age groups create slang when they were younger for example Gen Z's "no cap" As someone that's born at the tail end of Millenial I am near the start of Gen Z and can admit using that type of slang has become a habit, The Millenial in me prefers emo rock & Tupac over Juice Wrld style music, I do respect the legacy the guy left to the world though, He had talent, Everyone has their own opinions as long as you're not being disrespectful about it.
So no the stereotypical belief that generations were only created by the media isn't entirely true,
They somewhat go overboard with it though for a quick article story, We are into it too but only for entertainment purposes, But the newer generations don't seem to Google anything anymore before dismissing it, that's nothing new.
The minor issue is there are some minor disagreements as to when a generation starts and ends so we've split each generation up three ways upon days of researching and reading articles most Media Outlets agree that the Pew Research Centre year dates are correct, for example, they say Millenial is between 1980 - 1996, Which makes sense because born at the end of the 20th century (97-99) or in the 21st century makes you a full Gen Z.
People born between the pre-end 1992 - 1996 will have a mix of both generation traits so we simply split each generation up three ways as the same applies to each generational period.
So if you may have read that Gen Z starts in 1995 this is wrong, Pew wants to be the official year and we can get behind them for that, There have been cusp generations that we are aware of such as Zillenial (1992 - 1997) and Xennial (1977 to1983) now people are free to identify as they want but the sad issue is that they are barely recognized or mentioned mainstream wise, On that note, we have decided not to add them and split the most used generational years into 3 parts, We all know Early(Older) Millenials don't relate to Late(Younger) Millenials so our solution works perfectly.
We will also add which generational part is more relatable to what generation for example Late millennials relate with Older Gen Z's and etc..
Early = the very start (has 80% of traits from the generation they're born under, 20% of the previous one)
Core = (has most traits of the generation they grew up in)
Late = (Cupsers, can span either way depending on the individual but we just say has 50% of traits of the generation they're born under and 50% of the one starting)
Generations - let's now get to the point and explain each generation
The list is long so we've split it into 3 parts, This could not be prevented as there's a lot of information to cover.
(I was definitely born yesterday so anything before the 80s I will be mostly accurate from research BUT not all of it so I do apologize if some are wrong)

Gen Alpha | 1965 - 1980
Early Gen Alpha | 2013- 2018
Researchers have yet to define what this generation is going to be like, The oldest Gen Alpha is only in primary school so there's obviously not much known about this generation, What we do know is this is the most technology-driven generation yet, So if you think us Late Millenials or the Gen Z's were bad with relying on technology then we got news for you, We see As they grow.
As you can see, An Younger, Core & Older parts of a generation are all different from each other, For example, I'm a younger millennial hence the term "Late" or "Younger" this means being born close to when Gen Z started I will have more in common with Older Gen Z'ers than someone born in the early-mid 80s, So we've split them up. We hope this method works for you all! :)

Chorus Team
