If you've used Linux, which flavor is your favorite? I'm currently using Linux Mint as I type this thread up, I'm a complete Linux n00b and there's a bit of a learning curve. I had to use the terminal a few times to install programs since they didn't install properly through the set up process. It's really not too difficult to use the terminal though, however I need to get a SSD at some point and use that since I'm using a hard drive I took out of my first PS4 that over heated... So the hard drive is a decade old at this point. I mainly am doing this to see if I can easily use Linux as my main OS, I'll be keeping this experiment up. I haven't tried editing videos yet, but I got DaVinci Resolve installed. I have OBS as well, but I ran into issues with it. (Though this is when I was using the wrong graphics card driver so maybe it'll run better now.) One thing you'll need to know about Linux compared to Windows, IMO it's better to use the terminal to download and install programs from the internet rather than looking for Linux downloads on websites. You can find programs on websites, but I've noticed things run smoother when you just use the terminal lol.

I don’t see how programs “run smoother” if you install it from the terminal. Outside if the initiation process, the automated installation process is exactly the same. It logically makes zero sense why one would perform better than the other.
